Highfield L2 Close Protection Top-up Course

Course overview:

The Highfield Level 2 Award for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry (Top-up) is designed to meet the new Security Industry Authority (SIA) requirements which came into effect on 1st October 2022 for Close Protection Operatives who are renewing their licenses and hold qualifications pre April 2022.

This qualification is based on the SIAs 'Specifications for Learning and Qualifications for Close Protection Operatives.'

Modules covered are:

• Module 1 – Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry
• Module 2 – Principles of Working as a Door Supervisor for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry
• Module 3 – Application of Physical Intervention Skills for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry
• Module 4 – Application of physical intervention skills in the private security industry

Prerequisites:

Candidates must meet the following:

• Must be aged 18 or above
• Must be of reasonable health and fitness levels due to the nature of the course
• Must hold provide proof of a valid Level 3 medical qualification with the minimum qualification excepted First Aid at Work
  (if you do not hold a medical qualification we can offer the required certified training)

Assessment:

Assessment is by way of a practical and multiple choice assessment, for IQA reasons assessments will be filmed for evidence and quality assurance purposes.
